We have been busy..
Its been a busy few months here as we prepare for the introduction of GDPR, unfortunately this has put a few things that we had planned on the back burner as its taking longer than expected. What we are doing regarding GDPR will be communicated later in advance of the May deadline. For now though we recommend that you subscribe to the website push service, this works on Chrome and Firefox (Mac PC), with Edge coming soon
So let me get talk about what you may want to know about now.
Cloud SSD Hosting
As you know we made some really big changes here over the past year, this has been mainly down to playing catch up with our cPanel hosting which introduced the following
- SSD Storage for faster sites
- Massive mailboxes
- Free SSL certificates
Now we are about to add some cool new functionality to our Cloud SSD Hosting.
Email migration system
This will allow you to connect to either Outlook, GMail or another IMAP email and migrate emails across to the service by entering a few settings, this will be a major time saver for anyone that’s wanting to move email over to us. Also we will be able to migrate cPanel accounts over as well but that would need a support ticket to be raised. Now i guess your thinking why would I need to migrate in, i can only host 1 site on Cloud SSD hosting?
Multiple site hosting is coming to Cloud SSD Hosting
That’s right our Cloud SSD Hosting will be able to support multiple sites, at this point we can state the starter plan will remain as a single site hosting with the ability to park domains so you can host email as its not taken from your disk allowance, but you will not have the ability to point the parked domains to sub folders.. We haven’t finalised the actual amount of addon domains for each plan yet, we are still working on that.
As you can imagine with the likes of the Advanced SSD with unlimited website space and unlimited 10GB mailboxes, it really does make sence if you have a few sites. You will also get free SSL certificates for each site too providing that you point to our nameservers.
Currently we plan to keep the pricing inline with the current pricing so there are big savings to be made and will undercut our cPanel price points.
Let me say now though all accounts have resource caps so you need to be aware of that, so you cannot stick a CNN and a BBC site on there for a few quid a month,
Your Hosting company needs you
We need some volunteers to try out our new multi site Cloud SSD hosting before it goes on general release, currently we are opening this up to anyone with an Advanced plan, if you don’t have the advanced plan you can purchase one or upgrade your current plan to Advanced.
These plans have already had extensive testing (by us) however we now want to get a trial group going,
Our cPanel hosting has gone though massive changes over the course of last year and to be fair there isn’t a lot more we can do, its super reliable, its super secure and it has a lot of bells and whistles.
We would be interested in your thoughts on this as this is something that we are considering, ticket us and let us know your thoughts?
